Ultrasound Services

Ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging modality based on transmitting ultra high frequency sound waves into the body and then receiving the returning echoes.

Ultrasound does not use radiation to obtain an image and is one of the safest imaging techniques in use. Ultrasound can be used in a variety of studies including abdominal, pelvic, breast, carotid, lower extremity Doppler, renal, thyroid, testicular and aortic.

Prior preparation is sometimes required in ultrasound. Consult your physician prior to your procedure.

Ultrasound studies include abdominal, pelvic, breast, carotid doppler, vein mapping, lower extremity, renal, thyroid, testicular, aortic, obstetric and echocardiograms, and ultrasound guided breast biopsy.
