MRI Services

MRI, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, is a method used by physicians to look inside the human body to obtain diagnostic information without the use of radiation.

MRI is painless and non-invasive, and there are no known side or after affects. The procedure will typically last anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes depending on the type on information required by your physician.

A technologist will be able to see you at all times. For your convenience, an intercom system is built into the magnet so that if you need anything, the technologist will be right there. In certain instances, a contrast agent may be administered to enhance the study. Consult you doctor or technologist if you have any questions.

No special preparation is required prior to the MRI exam. You may eat normally and go about you daily routine.

Redefining Open MRI with our new Toshiba Vantage Titan large bore MRI

For some patients, traditional MRI exams can be an uncomfortable, claustrophobic experience.  While traditional open MRI systems can increase patient comfort, they often provide less imaging power resulting in slower scan time and decreased image quality.

Our new Toshiba Vantage Titan MRI provides the highest level of patient comfort with outstanding image quality.  The system has an ultra short open bore that is 18% larger than other 1.5T systems with a 71 cm aperture.  It is one of the largest and widest open bores on the market today.  In addition, acoustic noise is dramatically decreased through Pianissimo technology creating an MR environment that is up to 90% quieter.
